Join Nikki of Walk It Off NI for a Curated Walking Experience, opening your eyes to what lies under our noses, hidden from view, every day. Connecting you with the extraordinary people, places and experiences that our countryside has to offer.
Explore the beautiful Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. As we walk through the glorious autumn colours, we’ll pause from time-to-time to absorb the beauty, breathe in the peace and learn a little about our surroundings whilst the conversation bubbles. Once through the park we have an exclusive invitation to visit a 19th century Victorian walled garden, tucked away, out of sight, off Dunmurry Lane. Discover Hidden Huntley with me and get lost in the world behind the gates, a pace away from city life, just down the road.
Warming hot beverages and delicious autumnal delights will greet you in the cosy surroundings of the 100 year old glasshouse, comfortably nestled within the walled gardens. Gaze at the vintage beauty of Huntley, home of the Spence-Bryson family for three generations, from the historic Victorian vegetable gardens.
The walk to Huntley takes 45 mins or so. We’ll stay at Huntley for about an hour and then wander back, filled with deliciousness.
I will meet you at 11.30am on the arranged date by the Stables Coffee shop in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, Upper Malone Road, Belfast.
I’m so looking forward to seeing you there!
Please wear clothes and shoes suitable for walking in the forest – it can be muddy and hey, it’s Northern Ireland, it can be wet too!
*Huntley is a private residence, this experience is to the Victorian walled garden and glasshouse.
