Savour locally-baked, traditional Northern Irish, morning treats and see picturesque Malone House, The Giant’s Ring, tranquil Minnowburn and Edenderry Village.
A new and unique guided walk and picnic experience, a world away from a city walking and food tour. Walk through a stunning river valley and original mill village on the green edge of Belfast City. Giving you plenty of food for thought while you move in #nature.
Savour the beautiful views over Belfast’s river valley. Get a flavour of the stunning Lagan Valley Regional Park and it’s importance to food and the linen industry. This small group, walking and picnic experience, is led by locally lived guide Nikki Elliott. (click on the link to hear more about her).
‘Threads and Breads’ Walking and Picnic Experience. Spinning yarns and eating baked goodies! Stroll through history, spinning yarns of food and fabric in beautiful, natural landscape. Helping you to understand the heritage and provenance of the delicious picnic that awaits you later on.




Spend the morning walking together hearing stories and seeing panoramic views from Malone House and along the Lagan river valley. Afterwards, when you are mellowed by moving through nature, you reach the picturesque 19th century mill village, Edenderry. There, in the village centre, you will dine on your traditional Northern Irish, locally-sourced picnic. Wander the pretty village streets originally built for the workers John Shaw Brown linen mill!
Finally, we wander back over the Lagan river, returning to Malone House, replete with unique memories to treasure.
You’ll wonder why you’ve never done it before and dream of when you can do it again.
