SPINNING YARNS AND EATING CAKE!
Threads & Breads takes you on a stroll through living history, spinning yarns of food and fabric in beautiful, natural landscapes, helping you to understand the heritage and provenance of the delicious picnic that awaits you in the village centre.
Guided by locally lived Nikki, the tour will awaken your senses in nature, teach you about the weaver’s village community culture and traditions. I will show you our giant landscapes, speak about the legends of the ancient Giant’s Ring and of Linenopolis, when Belfast was the centre of Linen Industry at the time of the first world war.

WHERE DO WE GO?
We walk from a panoramic landscape viewpoint over an historic bridge via a babbling burn, and on via Terrace Hill Garden, (built by the Linen Magnate Nicholas Robinson of Robinson Cleaver). Then on to the Giant’s Ring-our own Neolithic Henge and then Edenderry Mill Village for a specially-designed picnic lunch and chance to #Meetthebaker. This tour encompasses many elements of land, water courses and extraordinary natural and man-made features.
