walk it off ni sustainability policy
At Walk It Off NI, we are committed to responsible tourism that respects nature, heritage, and local communities.
Our experiences are designed to minimise environmental impact while creating meaningful connections with Northern Ireland’s landscapes and culture.
our commitment to sustainability
🌿 Certified & Trained – We are Carbon Literate, Leave No Trace trained, and hold a Level 6 Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Destinations (June 2024), ensuring best practices in eco-conscious travel.
🌍 Low-Impact, Small-Group Tourism – Our tours are intentionally small-scale to reduce footfall impact, protect natural habitats, and enhance visitor experience. On our dog-friendly, Threads and Breads experience, we promote on-lead dog walking to safeguard wildlife and require all waste to be responsibly sorted and recycled.
🥗 Supporting Local & Sustainable Food – Our artisanal picnics are locally sourced, supporting small businesses and reducing food miles. We aim to avoid single-use plastics in all our experiences.
💚 Giving Back to Nature – Our Wonderwalk tour donates 20% of ticket sales to the National Trust to maintain and protect this special ecosystem. We actively educate guests on native wildlife, biodiversity, and responsible outdoor practices.
🏡 Regenerating Communities – We believe the right kind of tourism regenerates, not exploits. By collaborating with local businesses and artisans, we ensure our impact is positive, lasting, and community-driven.
