‘Hidden Huntley – Springing into Life’

Wonderful to remember that despite lockdown life goes on, nature is having a ball and Walk It Off NI looks forward to Walk, Eat and Connect safely when restrictions are lifted – we’re working on great socially distanced Walk it Off NI experiences for post lockdown and can’t wait to see you soon! ‘Obviously I can’t welcome anyone for Hidden Huntley outings for the foreseeable future, but I can still share with you the beauty of the garden, whetting your appetite for a visit later in the year! Bright splashes of spring colour, swathes of daffodils, damson blossom and buds bursting everywhere
We’ve had more goldfinches, great spotted woodpeckers, long-tailed tits and gold-crests this year, as well as all the usual suspects and ‘Mrs MacGregor’ has been busy making sure the baby bunnies don’t get into the walled garden – once they’re too fat, they can’t get under the potting shed door!
Trenches were dug yesterday, and Pink Fir Apple and Nicola potatoes are now in. We’ve also started sowing the veggie seeds in the greenhouse, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a good harvest.
Workshops in the studio have been postponed, but nothing that can’t be reorganised when we get the all-clear from Covid-19, so stay at home, save lives, enjoy watching the Huntley garden and see you later in the year.’
